Well, it's been several months since my last post, and I figured I should begin to document my journey again. I am approaching graduation. I have already applied for my state examination and paid my board fees. I am excited to begin the journey of being an adult and getting my life in order. I am also planning a vacation for December, pending me getting a job. I will take the trip regardless, but will plan around a job offer.
Even more so lately, my parents and I are not getting along, so getting a job is of utmost importance so that I can move and began my adult life without the negativity. I have already begun to search for local area apartments so that I can have something lined up and ready when I get a job. I already have a few places in mind, and have even looked into the pet deposit fees so my beloved fur child can move with me!
I have been viewing and reviewing all sorts of job postings and trying to find the perfect position for me after graduation, even if it means moving 200+ miles for the job. At least for my first job, staying within the state is important to me so that I am not too overwhelmed with everything. I think the biggest factor for wanting to stay local is because a) I don't have the money to pay for an additional license in another state and b) being in an unfamiliar town will be enough of a challenge, moving out of state could be even more traumatic with trying to get around and find reputable areas to live, especially if I'd be moving to a place where I don't even have 1 distant friend. I think I sort of missed the boat not pursuing a college scholarship so that I could travel out of state, because I think that's one of the best opportunities to travel outside your comfort zone and meet people, but doing it as a single adult female....sounds like a horror movie in the making, no?
Anyways, I have homework assignments to finish, so I think it's important to knock those out and hopefully I will start updating more regularly.
